Mr. Rengasamy Ganesan
Mr. Rengasamy Ganesan is a graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Chennai. He has served in Army Centre for EMC (ACE), Mhow (MP) and SAMEER-Centre for Electromagnetics, an autonomous R&D institution under the Union Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. He has more than 25 years of experience in EMC testing and design. He has worked as project manager and implemented CE marking project for three EMC test centres. He has attended EMC training programme in the UK under Indo-German joint project and also on EMC testing and design in US under UNDP sponsored project. Presently, he is heading LP Consultants International (LPCI) Pvt. Ltd. which offers design consultancy and training to industries in the area of Lightning Protection (LP) and Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC). He has conducted EMC and lightning protection programmes in many countries including India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Singapore. He also works as business associate for Underwriter Laboratories (UL) – India. He has published many technical papers on EMC in National and International conferences.He is a life member of Society of EMC Engineers - India.
Mr. K.V. Varadharajan
Mr. K.V. Varadharajan is a Graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering with PG diploma in Marketing Management. He has more than 15 years of experience in the field of lightning and surge protection. He also has 15 years of experience in the instrumentation industry and worked in ABB, Emerson and Foxboro. He has sold the only Unix based DCS in India and installed first Corolius mass flow meter in India. He has held key positions in MTL, India and OBO Bettermann, India, the reputed international organisations in the field of power, signal and instrumentation lines transient protection. He has visited Germany, UK, USA, Hong Kong, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and shared his knowledge and experience to prevent industry related field failures. Presently, he is a director of LP Consultants International Pvt. Ltd. and is also holding the position of a distinguished member of Technical Committee (TC) in Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) for low voltage equipment. He has written many articles in electrical magazines - IEEMA, Electrical India, etc. and offered more than 1,000 presentations on lightning and surge protection to various industries in India and abroad. He has offered guest lectures in programmes organised by FICCI, CII, Fire Safety Association of India and given presentation to students in Anna University and IIT- Madras. He has participated in TV programmes on the importance of lightning and surge protection for two leading Chennai-based Tamil channels.
Prof. (Dr.)G. R. Naghabhushana
Dr. G. R. Naghabhushana is AICTE Emeritus Fellow, High Voltage Engineering Division, llSc., Bangalore. (Ph. D in High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Insulation in Vacuum in 1972). He retired as professor and Chairman of Department of High Voltage Engineering in 2004. His area of work includes lightning simulation of power systems, low Voltage Circuits, Tall objects, Satellite launch pads, Aircraft, His other works include setting up of High Voltage Labs in industries, Educational Institutions and R&D establishments, Lightning Test facility for Aeronautical Development Agency - Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for full-treat testing for lightning. He is honored with Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineers, Award for Academic Excellence DRDO, National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) Awards for special impulse generator to simulate very steep impulses voltage, and former member IEEE. He has published more than 100 research papers in international conferences and journals.
Dr. SriniSathyamurthy, retired from DRDO in 2009 with a distinguished career as Scientist 'G', having worked on important electronics and communication projects of AFVs for more than three decades. He has 70 technical publications to his credit in the EMI-EMC field and he is the first DRDO recipient of N.V.Gadhadhar memorial Gold Medal award (2003) from IETE, Bangalore for his contributions to Mobile Communications. He is the author of the Book titled 'Basics of Electromagnetic Compatibility' and Co-author of the Book titled ELEMENTS OF ROBOTIC SYSTEMS, 'Optical Communications'. He is an IEEE Member and he has been listed in the Marquis Who's who listing as an achiever in Science and Engineering(2011-2012).
Prof. Dr. Chandima Gomes
Dr. Chandima Gomes is the head of the Centre for Electromagnetics and Lightning Protection Research, Malaysia. He is also a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia. He has held professorships in Physics, Meteorology and Engineering in several Universities in Asia and Asian campuses of USA and Australian Universities. Prof. Dr. Gomes is a senior consultant in lightning protection for several companies throughout the world. He is also an international trainer in lightning protection, grounding and bonding and electrical safety who has conducted over 120 programmes in 12 countries so far. He has published over 200 research papers and several books on his expertise.
Mr. E.Ammayappan is a Civil Engineer having 25 years of experience in Project Management Consultancy for Commercial, Industrial & Residential building having expertise in all types of Framed structure/ PEB structure including MSB buildings, Foundations (column / raft / pile etc.), Preparation and execution of tender schedule, Bar charts / cash flow statements, Survey works, road works, interior works, lift and MEP works (sanitary and plumbing, electrical, fire fighting and HVAC works), Maintenance and alteration works, Construction of basement floors/RC walls / water proofings and is having substantial experience in construction management like tendering, costing estimation, organizing, planning admin and execution of projects.
Mr. Ashen Gomes
Mr. Ashen Gomes is an electrical engineering professional at Universiti Putra Malaysia and actively involved with computer aided designing of lightning protection systems and electromagnetic filtering systems. Mr.Ashen is known in the lightning science community for his involvement in lightning safety concerns in South Asia and Africa. He is also an active official in the IEEE-Student Sector in Malaysia.
